The Davis County Syracuse Northwest Branch was opened in August 2003. The Branch has a collection of approximately 50,000 items. Within 5 years, the collection is projected to increase to 65,000 items. The collection will focus on high demand items like the children's books, best-sellers, books-on-tape, videos, and more.

Reader Synonymous - Y/A Book Club
Attention Young Adults - We are starting a book club called "Reader Synonymous" just for you! We will meet and talk about Meg Cabot and Will Hobbes. Everyone is welcome at 3:30 p.m. every Tuesday. Plans and suggestions for future meetings are welcome.
Summer Reading Next Month - Get a Clue!
That's right, next month, the library will be host to Jugglers, Artists, Magicians, Pirates, and Mad Scientists, and a Mystery—Oh My!
So bring your thinking caps and help us solve our problems…
* * * 10:30 Storytimes will still be held in June and July and will be told by a
different story teller.
* * * Because of the special Summer Reading programs, held at 3:00pm and
7:00 pm, our 1:30pm storytime will not be held during June or July.
Also, because of the 3:00pm program, our Book-Bites storytime will be held at 4:45pm.
No August Storytimes
No pre-school or Book Bites storytimes will be held during the month of August.
Storytime
Tuesday Storytime (10:30 a.m.) - Trained volunteers tell stories on a weekly rotating basis. Stories are geared toward preschool-age children. Kindergartners and those off track are welcome to attend.
Wednesday Storytime (10:30 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.) - Library Staff, and occasionally trained volunteers, present stories for preschoolers. Kindergartners and those off track are welcome to attend.
Wednesday "Book Bites" Storytime (4:00 p.m.) - Library Staff presents 1-2 chapters from selected chapter books on a weekly basis, until the book is finished. Stories are geared toward those in grades 4th - 8th, but anyone older is welcome to attend.
Library Tours - Library Tours may be scheduled any time the Library is open. Generally, the tours are scheduled with Josh, who is the Children's Librarian. If Josh is unavailable, please ask another Reference Librarian.
