Q.     Do you provide tours of the Fire Department for the general public?

A.     Syracuse Fire Department provides tours for the general public, various scout groups, pre-schools and school children, etc.  These tours are scheduled by appointment.  Please call at least one week in advance to schedule your tour (801-614-9614).  We provide information on fire safety, fire prevention, department organization, and fire equipment.

Q.     Does the Fire Department do Fire Hose "Squirts"?

A.     Syracuse Fire Department has been asked in prior years to do "squirts" for schools or various church groups.  If you are interested in a squirt for your group, please call the department at 801-614-9614.

Q.     When is Fire Prevention Week?

A.     Fire Prevention Week is usually the first part of October.  The Open House is held between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.  Activities include live demonstrations; bike/multi-sport helmet sales; Stop, Drop and Roll obstacle course for youth; balloon, treats, and more.  Be sure to mark this date on your calendar and bring your whole family.
